Did you know…

According to new research from The Media Audit, adults in the US are spending just under four hours a day online! That’s an 81% increase over their 2006 findings!

This further proves that the Web has become an integral part of everyday life for many Americans. They’re using the Internet to shop, research products and find local businesses!

The internet has become commonplace in peoples’ lives. We spend time searching through sites that lead us to other places like directories, suggested site content and social networking links.

A web presence as to be professional, content-rich and current to keep people there once they arrive. And for them to find you, you need to seek out as many avenues for your URL as possible.

Some examples include Facebook, LinkedIn, DMOZ, industry specific directories, local directories for your region and more.

Also consider co-branding opportunities with industry-related professionals. For example a Real Estate Agent can co-brand with a Real Estate Appraiser or a Mortgage Broker or a Home Inspector.
